NEW! GAME SHOW HOST(ESS) FOR CABLE/NON-UNION, LONDON!
Male or female, late 20's-late 30's, someone who appears smart, sharp, erudite, authoritative, witty and knowledgeable. Paid. Will be flying the host to London twice to shoot season one in two separate blocks - first starting around late September/early October for a few days, then down for a few weeks then the second shoot will be the remainder of the shows for a few weeks of shooting. Since the game moves at such a fast pace, there's little time for witty banter. The style we're looking for is more of a cool irony. Think Jon Stewart meets Anderson Cooper meets Alex Trebec. Previous game show experience is a definite plus, but not essential, although PRIOR HOSTING EXPERIENCE IS A MUST. Sudden Death is the high-octane quiz show that gives you no time to think and no room to be wrong. To succeed you have to act fast and never give in to doubt. In each episode, five contestants go head to head over three rounds of "Discovery" based general knowledge questions. Materials must be received by Monday 7/17. Send to: Todd Miller, Discovery Communications, 850 Third Ave., New York, NY 10022. No submissions will be reviewed unless host tape is submitted. Please write the phrase "Game Show" on the outside of the package.

ACTORS! NEED AN ACTING CLASS
THAT WILL PROPEL YOUR CAREER FORWARD?
New agent-taught series of classes, with $20 off for TRU readers! As an actor, are you frustrated by: Not being able to secure the audition appointments you know should be yours, not getting callbacks when you go to an audition, not feeling truly comfortable with your audition technique, not feeling truly comfortable with "cold reading" auditions, not finding monologues that suit you and your talents well, not finding monologues that are not already "done to death" by other actors, not finding a teacher who is well-versed in ways of helping you to achieve your career goals, not working with a teacher armed with a wealth of information, knowledge and experiences, willing to reinforce his thoughts and ideas with a veritable trove of anecdotal material, much of it gleaned from his own life and the lives of friends and colleagues? Then you are in luck! Lewis R. Chambers (who founded The Bethel Agency nearly 38 years ago and who has represented actors in all major media) plans a series of 3 or 4 classes during the months ahead. Classes are arranged in blocks of four each, meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings, as well as on Saturday mornings from 10 AM to 1 PM. Evening class hours are flexible -- some will begin at 6:00 or 6:30 PM, while others will, in all probability, begin at 7 PM, ending three hours later. Classes are basically scene study, monologues, audition technique, cold readings and, at times, a bit of improv. Informal meetings follow most classes, enabling students to learn more about the business part of their careers. Classes, of four meetings each, are priced at $180, with a non-refundable deposit of $100 to be paid ten days before the start of any skein of classes and the balance to be paid at the first class. For more detailed information, Mr. Chambers is reachable at 212.864.4510 or at either of two Email addresses: chambers_bethel@yahoo.com or BethelAgcy@aol.com
