UPDATE

Maybe we'll talk turkey next week.
Meanwhile, don't be chicken -
get out there and audition!

The TRU Actors Update 11/15

(To be honest, because of Thanksgiving,
and the fact that I won't have office help next Thursday,
this may in fact be the Thanksgiving edition.
So in case I can't mail next week, I wish each and every one of you infinite reasons to be grateful
and an abundance of opportunity now and always.)

Brought to you by our listings editor Liz Burke,
and our associate editors Tiara Yong and Rebecca Nesvet.

Thoughts for November:

Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life...
as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.
~Booker T. Washington

We all go through tough times.
Always know you're not alone.
But, above all, keep up the strive for success.
Go for every opportunity!

A) The "union" or "non-union" designation is at the start of the notices; and union is highlighted in red.

DEAR TRU

Hey - can anyone out there explain to your editors why we keep getting listings for AEA Showcases that say they are looking for non-union people? Do you think people are sloppy in the way they list things? I can't think of any reason why an AEA showcase would be prohibited from casting a union actor. What's up with that? ~Bob
