UPDATE

Look what you've done this year! See how you've grown!
That thing that keeps ringing - what is it? Your phone!
To whom should you send your resumés and pix?
Check the (possibly) last Update of
2006!

The TRU Actors Update 12/15

Brought to you by our listings editor Liz Burke,
and our associate editor Rebecca Nesvet.

Quick Thoughts for the Week Before Christmas
(and the first night of Hanukkah):

Always cast yourself in the best light possible.

Is a Christmas gig just a snow job?
Does a Hanukkah gig last eight days?

PS - We heard that Rudolph came out
and joined the Raindeer Coalition.

A) The "union" or "non-union" designation is at the start of the notices; and union is highlighted in red.

B) The items with immediate deadlines are highlighted in green (for go!). Male actor notices are highlighted in blue, female actress notices are highlighted in magenta. Yeh, we know - propogating stereotypes. Maybe we should do yellow for blondes and brown for brunettes while we're at it. What color would a diva be? And would stand-up comedians just be off-color?

C) Our Christmas list says "Inspirational Quotes by E-Mail from TRU Members." Will you be our Secret Santa?

D) Peruse the last update's notices... use up your 2006 headshots.

E) Have you sized up the TRU Bi-Monthly Update? It may have a few casting notices not listed here, as well as other job opportunities, workshops and discounted shows. Click here or go to www.truonline.org/Update-1119.htm

DEAR TRU

Nobody's writing to TRU. (Sigh!)
I guess you're all writing to Santa instead. Can he get you an audition?
Is there an annual open call on December 26th at the North Pole?
(Is that where the term "cold reading" comes from?)
